Please help me :(
I did many questions but there are only three left that i can't do.

1) Evaluate: (√-27)-
*Note: the square root here has number 3 on top*

2)Write the equation x+6x-16=0 in the completed square form (x+p)+q=0, where p and q are integers.

3) Write the equation 6x-2y-8=0 in the form y=mx+c and hence give the value of the gradient y-intercept.

**I know I'm a bit of trouble, but please help! Thx***

Thx***

1) The 3 means the cube root. The cube root of -27 is -3
then (-3)- means 1/(-3) which is 1/9

2) x+6x-16=0
half the coefficient of x, in this case the 6 to give 3
write (x+3) and square this out to give x+3x+3x+9 which is x+6x+9
You require the -16 on the end of the equation so this will require adding 7 to the 9
so x+6x-16=0
is the same as (x+3)+7=0

3) 6x-2y-8=0 aim to make y the subject.
so add 2y to both sides
6x-8 = 2y
now divide both sides by 2
3x-4 = y
or
y= 3x-4
this is in the form y=mx+c where m is the gradient and in this case it is 3.

Hope this helps.
