Problem. can anyone help me PLS .. 10x alot:)

sandra rented 4 flats, a, b, c & d. she collects monthly a rent of lm 275 from these 4 flats xD the rents for a and b are in ratio 3:4. flat b and c have d same rent while d monthly rent for flat d is lm 95 more than for flat a.

determine d monthly rent that sandra collects from flat a

What do you mean by xD ?

Let flat A have be 3x
flat B 4x then
flat C = 4x

and flat D = 3x+95

The total is 275 so
3x+4x+4x+(3x+95) = 275

Solve for x

14x + 95 = 275
14x=180
x= 12.857....
then work out each flats rent.

Flat A = 3x12.857 = 38.571 ...
Flat B = Flat C = 4x12.857... = 51.428....
Flat D = 3x+95 = 3x12.857 ... +95 = 133.571...
