GP question - I think

I think this is a GP question but not to sure how to do it.

A ball is dropped from a height of 2m and bounces to a height of 3/4 of its previous height. Calculate the total distance travelled.

it is a GP

total dist = 2+2[2(.75)+2(.75)+2(.75)+ .....]
=2+4[(.75)+(.75)+(.75)+ .....]
=2+4xsum of a GP to infinity
=2+4x .75/(1-.75)
=14m


Remember the sum to infinity of a GP = a/(1-r)
