About ExamSolutions

ExamSolutions was started in 2004, to provide a valuable resource for maths teachers and to help students revise for there maths exams.

We believe when it comes to maths revision, the only way to make further progress and gain confidence is by doing plenty of problems from past papers. What we found was that students are provided with the past papers to do revision from but with no answers to check if they were successfully solving the questions. When answers were provided, they were often copies of the mark scheme from the exam board.

We find many students who are given the mark schemes often say that the mark schemes are hard to follow as often the middle stages to solutions are missed out. Mark schemes are fine for teachers but as a resource for students we believe they are of limited value.

With this in mind ExamSolutions set about addressing this issue by providing a better resource for students when they are trying to revise from maths past papers. ExamSolutions provide a much more thorough resource than mark schemes alone. Unlike mark schemes our solutions are designed for students, and encourage learning.

Our solutions are provided in pdf format in two separate stages:

We have now introduced video worked solutions to replace our pdf ones and these are hosted on YouTube for free. The quality of the picture, size and sound is limited but we do sell the original versions on CD which are of far better quality. The picture is larger, sound quality better and all the solutions arefound through one easy menu system.

We believe that the maths solutions we provide offer teachers and students a valuable resource for their maths revision.

ExamSolutions is constantly expanding, with more OCR and Edexcel maths model solutions being added after every exam period. We will soon be providing maths model solutions for the AQA exam board.

In the near future ExamSolutions will feature free maths revision notes which can easily be downloaded printed and entered into your maths revision file, along with interactive examples on key topics from the maths A level syllabus.
